October 12
In celebration of Massachusetts STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Week, North Shore Community College (NSCC), with support of STEM Starter Academy, will be hosting a STEM Night for middle and high school students, grades 7-12, and their families on Wednesday, October 19, 5-7 p.m. at NSCC’s Lynn Campus, 300 Broad Street.
Students will learn about opportunities in STEM and participate in fun, hands-on STEM activities such as: building a catapult and seeing how far you can make a ball fly; cracking a challenging logic puzzle; viewing a critter under a microscope and more! Snacks will be provided.
NSCC provides a broad range of STEM programs for students to earn associate degrees and certificates, earn credits to transfer towards a bachelor’s degree, and complete noncredit courses. Some of the many programs offered include Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Animal Science, and Aviation.
