TRIO Programs at NSCC
The federal TRIO Programs at NSCC are designed to identify and provide students services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. NSCC offers four different TRIO programs to serve and assist low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities access higher education. All our services are free.
Student Support Services
TRIO/Student Support Services is a federally funded program that provides personalized academic advising and encouragement to students who are low-income, or first generation to college (neither parent graduated from four-year college), or individuals who have a documented disability.
Educational Opportunity Center
The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) provides postsecondary education access services and career exploration and advising to students and adults (age 19 and above) who are interested in furthering their education.

Talent Search
TRIO/Talent search is a partnership with Lynn Public Schools that works to identify and assist high school students who have the potential to succeed in higher education. We currently have advisors located Lynn Technical, Lynn Classical, and Lynn English High Schools.
Upward Bound
The TRIO/Upward Bound (UB) program at NSCC is a partnership with Lynn Public School District. UB provides intensive basic support for students as they get ready for college.
