On March 14, a team from North Shore Community College’s (NSCC) Corporate and Professional Education Division (CPED) will be participating at the annual New England Workforce Network (NEWN) Conference at Cape Cod Community College.

The New England Workforce Network (NEWN) Conference is a collaborative effort with workforce professionals from all over New England. NEWN was conceived in 2001 in response to the desire among workforce development providers to share best practices and network in a larger context that goes beyond state boundaries.

This year’s event will feature learning, networking, and innovative discussions centered around: Embracing the Entrepreneurial Mindset: Driving Innovation in Workforce Development.  The keynote speaker is Dr. Liza Talusan, whose address will explore how we can prepare for the benefits of diverse teams.

“The conference is focused on driving innovation in workforce development,” said Jennifer Price, NSCC’s AVP of Strategic Employer Relations. “Members of NSCC’s team have put in considerable time assisting with organizing for the event and I have been asked to facilitate a panel discussion,”

The topic of Price’s featured panel discussion will be: Innovative Approaches to ESOL and Workforce Integration
