Welcome from the Chief of Police
On behalf of the dedicated members of the North Shore Community College Police Department,
I thank you for viewing our website.
The North Shore Community College Police Department (NSCC PD) is committed to partnering with our campus community to ensure our faculty, students, staff and visitors are safe. We do this while holding ourselves to high expectations, which include operating in a fair, unbiased manner that respects the rights and dignity of all individuals.
NSCC PD is a full-service Public Safety and Law Enforcement Agency. We are available to serve you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our staff is comprised of talented, trained and motivated professionals.
Our Police Officers are Certified through the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission, receive their training through the Massachusetts Police Training Committee, and receive their Police Authority from the Massachusetts State Police.
In addition to our police officers, we have Institutional Security Officers (ISO's) who also serve the campus community by responding to basic calls for service and performing dispatch duties. ISO's also receive a variety of public safety training, to include, but not limited to, telecommunications skills, and first aid/CPR training.
Please take a few minutes to learn more about our services. You will find that our members are a dedicated, well-trained, and an enthusiastic group of professionals who take pride in their work. We look forward to partnering with you to make your North Shore Community College experience all it can be.
David Cook
NSCC, Chief of Police
