MASFA Application Process
Massachusetts has now expanded eligibility for in-state tuition and state financial aid to non U.S. citizen students, including undocumented students, who have attended Massachusetts high schools for at least three years and earned a Massachusetts diploma.

If you meet the eligibility requirements for Tuition Equity you should follow the steps below.
STEP 1: Complete the MASFA
The MASFA application is available online. If you meet the eligibility requirements outlined above you should complete the MAFSA application, not the FAFSA.
You will need to create an account and this can be completed at the time you complete the MAFSA. Your parent will also need to create an account.
*Please make sure student has signed out of account before parent attempts to create account.
There is no charge to complete the form. And to send the information to NSCC the school code is 002173.
STEP 2: Complete Tuition Equity Eligibility Form and Affidavit
You will need to appear in person to complete this form. Please visit our Student Success Center on our Lynn Campus(located in McGee Bldg LS134) or Danvers Campus(located in the Health Prof. and Student Service Bldg).
STEP 3: Register for Classes
Your financial aid award will be based on the number of credits per semester. The award will cover your required tuition and fees and possible funding for books and supplies.
STEP 4: Review your Bill
You should review your bill to make sure the financial aid has been awarded and will cover the cost to attend for the semester.
