NSCC need and merit-based scholarships

Since 1985, the NSCC Foundation Scholarship Program has been supporting current and incoming students with scholarship awards. Awardees are selected from a pool of eligible applicants by an internal review committee and matched to scholarships through a streamlined process. This committee includes faculty, staff (current and retired), and members of the NSCC Foundation Board of Directors. Eligible students will receive an email invitation to complete the online application. Some scholarships are renewable for multiple semesters, depending on student performance. A limited number of scholarships are also available through a competitive application and selection process to graduating NSCC students and alumni for the continuation of their education at four-year institutions.

Important Dates

  • Application Open: March 1

  • Current Students: Application due April 15 / Award notifications are finalized in May

  • New Students: Application due July 1st / Award notifications are finalized in late July

 


Scholarships

North Shore Community College offers a wide range of scholarships to support current students. Eligible students will receive an email invitation to complete the online application. By submitting the online application, students are automatically considered for multiple scholarships based on their qualifications. Applications must be received by April 15. Award notifications are finalized in May.

Eligibility includes:

  • Continuing students with 6 earned credits from a prior term and a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

  • ESL students with 3 earned ESL credits from a prior term.

  • Adult Basic Education students working on a GED.

  • Past or current NSCC graduates for alumni scholarships.

North Shore Community College offers a wide range of scholarships to support new students enrolling in six or more credits for the Fall term. Eligible students will receive an email invitation to complete the online application. By submitting the online application, students are automatically considered for multiple scholarships based on their qualifications. Applications must be received by July 1st. Award notifications are finalized in late July.

Eligibility includes:

  • Incoming Fall students with a minimum high school GPA of 2.8 or equivalent GED credentials, planning to enroll in at least 6 credits for the Fall semester.
