STEM Starter Academy: Summer Bridge

The STEM Starter Academy is an exciting Massachusetts initiative designed to prepare students for in-demand STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) degrees and careers.

The STEM Starter Academy Summer Bridge program offers NSCC's First Year Experience (FFL 100) course with a STEM focus. This course introduces students to college paired with course work, multiple student engagement activities including career workshops, networking, and industry events and academic support services.

Our Summer 2018 program features Computer Science and Engineering, offered on the Lynn Campus, or Life and Health Sciences, offered on the Danvers Campus.

The Summer Bridge Program runs from July 9 - August 18, 2018

Lynn Campus: Computer Science and Engineering

FFL 100 - First Year Experience Contextualized to Computer Science and Engineering
Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00 - 5:30 pm,
Wednesdays 6:15-9:05 pm

Non-Credit Math Boot Camp
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 - 8:30 pm

Non-Credit Introduction to Robotics and 3D Printing
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 - 8:30 pm

Danvers Campus: Life and Health Sciences

FFL 100 - First Year Experience Contextualized to Life and Health Sciences
Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 - 12:20 am

PHI 120 - Medical Ethics
Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:30 - 3:15 pm

BIO 108 - The Body in Health and Disease
Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:30 - 3:15 pm

More Information

There is no cost associated with this program. These courses could help fulfill future college credit requirements. Snacks will be provided.
