Explore free short-term career training in healthcare, and manufacturing. All classes are free thanks to grant funds provided by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the GE Foundation. Pharmacy Technicians work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies and other healthcare settings.  This comprehensive course includes pharmacy terminology, reading and interpreting prescriptions, defining generic and brand name drugs, laws, processing insurance billing/collecting payments, and mathematical skills for pharmacy technicians. In addition to in-classroom instruction, this program also includes hands-on labs, a 40-hr clinical externship, PTCB certification, and NWCA Pharmacy Technician Associate Certification. Average salary of Pharmacy Technicians in MA is $43,000-$60,000 depending on experience.

Prepare to be a vital member of a clinical laboratory team. Learn to collect blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis, become familiar with all aspects of blood collection, and the necessary skills needed to perform a venipuncture safely.  EKG further covers topics and processes critical to conducting and interpreting electrocardiograms (EKG's) including the anatomy and physiology of the heart, technology used, how to interpret a rhythm strip, and details of a myocardial infarction.  In addition to in-classroom instruction, this program also includes hands-on labs, a 40-hr clinical externship, NWCA National Career Certification for EKG Technician and Certified Phlebotomy Certification (CPT). Average salary of a Phlebotomy/EKG Technician in MA is $43,000-$60,000 depending on experience.

Prepare for an entry level career in healthcare while preparing you for the Massachusetts State Board exam to become a certified Nurse Assistant. Course also includes certifications in Home Health Aide, CPR, and  CMS Hand-in Hand Dementia Training, and a clinical experience in a long term care facility with a Registered Nurse Instructor. Average salary of a Nurse Assistant in MA is $28,725-$45,000 (entry level-experienced).

Prepare for an entry level position as a "chair-side dental assistant". The program begins with an exploration of the history of dentistry, tracing its evolution and advancements over time. Students are then introduced to the dental office environment, including its structure, legal considerations, and ethical responsibilities. Understanding oral anatomy, physiology, and pathology is essential, as it provides the framework for learning about tooth structures, both primary and permanent, and the overall function of the oral cavity.  In addition to in-classroom instruction, this program also includes hands-on labs, a 40-hr clinical externship, RHS certification, and NWCA Dental Assistant Certification. Average salary of Dental Assistant in MA is $58,668.

Program fulfills the 60 educational hours required to become a Massachusetts Certified Addiction Recovery Coach. Recovery Coaches play a vital role in the community; they serve as guided and mentors to individuals with drug and alcohol problems, empower people on their personal journey by providing many options and "paths" to recovery. Training participants will receive tools and resources designed to help people heal from the devastating effects of addiction, whether they are just entering recovery or looking to deepen and sustain their recovery. For individuals considering a career as a recovery coach or peer mentor, or individuals who simply want to learn more effective methods for supporting people through their recovery process.
