This free training program is funded by a GE Foundation grant that pays preparation courses, tuition, fees, and material costs, so there is no charge to you. You must be at least 18 years old and able to work in the US to qualify. For more information email us at machinist@northshore.edu. Our next Free Machinist class starts on January 27, 2025 with in-person training at Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School, Danvers, MA.

Foundational Skills

Foundational Skills Program

Already have a high school diploma or equivalent? NSCC's Foundational Skills program will cover the basics required to enter the manufacturing field. Once you have completed these online courses, you will be ready to move into our hands-on Machinist Training Program at Essex Tech or Gloucester High School.
