Expand your career skills with noncredit training

NSCC’s EKG Technician Certification Training program prepares you to take the National Workforce Career Association (NWCA) Certified Electrocardiograph Technician Exam (CEKG), and the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam. Learn anatomy and physiology of the heart, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics and legal aspects of patient contact, electrocardiography and stress testing. Practice with EKG equipment and perform hands-on labs including the function and proper use of the EKG machine, the normal anatomy of the chest wall for proper lead placement, 12-lead placement, and other clinical practices. Cost includes required e-book.

Prerequisites
It is strongly recommended that students take the Accuplacer Placement Exam at the Center for Alternative Studies and Testing prior to registration, for advising purposes.
