Start your career in Accounting with a certificate from NSCC

NSCC’s Accounting certificate prepares students for a variety of entry-level accounting positions in small to medium-sized businesses, partnerships, and corporations. Learn how to analyze, calculate, record transactions, maintain financial records, and prepare financial reports.  Coursework also includes managerial accounting and taxation, as well as budgeting and accounting for payroll, accounts receivables and accounts payables. In addition, communication and business technology are emphasized throughout the program and students gain hands-on computer experience, including specialized training in Excel, Quickbooks, and individual tax preparation software.

Degree pathway

All courses in this certificate program count towards NSCC’s Accounting Degree program.

Internship Opportunities

As part of this program, students will enhance their career development by integrating classroom study and work experience through participation in NSCC’s Cooperative Education/Internship.

 

 

Free Community College

Massachusetts allows all residents without a bachelor’s degree to attend North Shore Community College for free.

No tuition. No fees. Both programs include an allowance for books and supplies for certain students.
