The Dual Language Liberal Arts Transfer Pathway (DL LAT) at North Shore Community College (NSCC) is a Spanish-English bilingual program designed to support students in developing academic proficiency in both languages while earning credits that transfer to four-year institutions.
Located in Lynn, a vibrant community with a strong Spanish-speaking presence, the DL LAT program empowers students by integrating Spanish and English instruction, fostering bilingualism, biliteracy, and cultural competency. The program serves not only students enrolled in the pathway but also those pursuing other fields of study, extending its reach to high school students in surrounding cities through Early College initiatives. This allows students to develop bilingual proficiency while earning college credits.

The DL LAT program is committed to meeting students where they are, offering tailored resources to strengthen language skills, including writing, research, and critical thinking. Instruction is culturally responsive, fostering a supportive environment that values students’ linguistic and cultural identities.

Bilingual Instruction: Courses are offered in two instructional modalities: English-based instruction with bilingual support and fully Spanish courses. This structure strengthens students' Spanish and English language skills while completing general education requirements.
