End-of-Semester Evaluation
At the end of the semester, the Office of Service-Learning will send you the link to a survey about your service-learning experiences. We engage in evaluation to better understand the impact that the service-learning experience has on our students, faculty, and community partners. All evaluations are used to make informed decisions about the future of service-learning at North Shore Community College. Although this survey is optional, we encourage you to take it so that your voice can be heard in future program decisions.
The end-of-semester evaluation includes a short Google Form survey that asks basic questions about your thoughts, opinions, and experiences during your service-learning course. It should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. This survey will be emailed to your school account at the end of the semester and will also be posted on this webpage for your convenience.

Background Checks
In order for a student to be eligible to participate in an academic, community or clinical program that involves potential unsupervised contact with children, the disabled, or the elderly, the student may be required to undergo a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check and/or a Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) check. Students found to have certain criminal convictions or pending criminal actions will be presumed ineligible to participate in such activities. The College is authorized by the Commonwealth's Department of Criminal Justice Information Services, pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 6, Sections 167-178B, to access CORI records. Sex Offender checks shall be performed pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 6, Sections 178C-178P. In addition to the Massachusetts-only criminal offender record information, individuals may be required to undergo a national county background check.
